Seriously, I said this in a different thread not too long ago, and I'll repeat:

The mini-pets were given to us by ANet as presents, not merchandise to be sold.

These minis shouldn't be worth starting a war over, and get used to the idea of "he's friends with the boss, so he gets better pay". That's kinda the way stuff goes. Quit Q.Q'ing and move along.

The minipets are absolutely useless, and anyone who doesn't capitalize on them in a complete FOOL.

Yup, the spider sold in the high end forums proves this to be true...not to be sold...

Oh, and in before lock, as we all know this will get locked or deleted.

agreed, and now it seems that some of us not only will beat the market, but will have double the opportunity to do so.

how you might ask?

because they will get another pet on the actual release date. so that means, lol, they are one up on the rest. that right there sucks a pretty big hawt dawgg.

Fools willing to pay a lot to get the minis first. And that is what makes this blatantly unfair.

I say kudos to White Wasabi for being smart enough to be in a guild with actual perks. We're all fools for being in useless guilds full of idiots.

Ok you are right. People who are willing to pay 10x the usual price to get it earlier are fools. Rich collectors are fools. Poor, thrifty players are smart.

Well said sir, well said.

As to some being usless and others maybe. But keep in mind Beta others were playing before some heard of the game, nobody is more special than others the others have been around longer.......oh maybe they are special then.

More power to the dedicated.

How did they receive their pets? If these players have pets early because their characters' are a few days older then anyone else's, I dont really have a problem. I'm sure the servers would have been up and running for testing purposes before being opened to the public. Characters made during this time would be a bit older than everyone else.

Now, if Anet just straight up handed them out with no regard for the character/account age, there is good reason for outrage. Whether intended as an innocent gift or not, these early pets give a definite financial advantage. If Anet wants to thank players for being beta/alpha testers, etc, do it with some customized unique item or emote, not something that can be used for unfair financial gains.

I'll make this my final post in this thread. I'm missing out on the Rollerbeetle racing:

I'm not getting my third year mini till Christmas time (Dec.26th to be exact...), so I'll just sit nice and tight till that time comes. I collect minis, but I sure as hell never will buy them for prices most elite armor fails to be equal to.

I say Kudos to wasabi for opening people's eyes to what has been going on in that guild for some time now.

They cannot be "handed" out. The characters are 3 years old to get it. I'm sure the beta testers just got to create minis a few days earlier.

We've known for ages that the guilds with developers in them get special treatment.

I.e.: Andrew Patrick / Izzy leaking out information several times before it was live, rawr cup, Andrew Patrick's Ice Crown, etc.

Ok. Not going to argue with your opinion. You have every rights to it. Perhaps people at different level look at things differently.
